General conditions

1.1. Application of terms

These terms and conditions apply to all agreements for the rental of the holiday home Het Kasteelke (hereinafter referred to as "the property"), located at Moleneind 4 & 6, 58645AA Meerlo, Netherlands. The landlord is Het Kasteelke Vacations (hereinafter referred to as "the lessor").

1.2. Agreement to Terms

By making a reservation for the property, the renter agrees to these terms and conditions.


2. Reservations and Payments

2.1. Reservation Process

Reservations can be made through our website or via Airbnb.

2.2. Payment

The full rental price must be paid at the time of booking or at least 1 day before the arrival date.


3. Cancellation Policy

3.1. Cancellation by the tenant

Cancellations must be made in writing. Cancellations made up to 5 days before arrival will receive a 100% refund. No refund will be provided for cancellations made after this period.

3.2. Cancellation by the lessor

The lessor may cancel the booking in case of force majeure, such as unforeseen damage to the property or extreme weather conditions. In that case, the full amount will be refunded.

3.3. Alternative accommodation

In case of cancellation by the lessor, no alternative accommodation will be offered.


4. Use of the Property

4.1. Number of guests

The maximum number of guests allowed to stay in the farmhouse is 5 people.

4.2. Pets

Pets are not allowed in the house.

4.3. Misuse or Violations

In case of abuse of the property or violation of the house rules, the tenant will be warned once. For repeated violations, the contract will be dissolved and the tenants must leave the property immediately, without the right to a refund.


5. Liability

5.1. Lessor

The lessor is not liable for any damage, injury, or loss of property of the renter or their party during the stay, to the extent permitted by law.

5.2. Tenant

The tenant is fully liable for any damage to the property or inventory caused by themselves or their party.


6. Force Majeure

6.1. What is considered force majeure?

Force majeure includes, but is not limited to, natural disasters, floods, power outages, heating system failures, fires, or other unforeseen events beyond the lessor's control.

6.2. Consequences of Force Majeure

n case of force majeure, the full amount of the booking will be refunded to the tenant. The tenant has no right to any other form of compensation.


7. Applicable Law and Disputes

7.1. Applicable law

This agreement is governed by Dutch law.

7.2. Disputes

Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court in Limburg.


8. Additional Provisions

8.1. Check-in and check-out

  • Check-in is possible from 15:00.
  • Check-out must occur before 11:00.

8.2. Cleaning

Cleaning fees are included unless excessive cleaning is required.

8.3. House Rules

  • Silence after 10 p.m.
  • Smoking is not allowed inside the house.
  • No pets allowed.
  • Do not cause damage to the property or inventory.
  • Be careful with candles and other flammable materials.
